The Rajasthan State Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot has increased the grant per plate under this yojana. Initially the subsidy per plate was Rs. 12. But now it has been determined to be enlarged to Rs. 17. The Chief Minister has told that through this choice, there will be facility in the Indira Rasoi operation. Indira Rasoi Yojana Released

On the 26^th June, 2020, the Indira Rasoi Yojana has been launched by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the occasion of Indira Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary. Initially this yojana was run with the name of Annapurna Yojana but then after some time its name has been changed. Under this yojana, the nutritious food is provided to the Poor people for just Rs. 8. In the 213 municipal bodies, 358 Indira Rasoi has been operated by the state government. Vis this yojana, a target of providing benefit to one crore 34 lakh people daily has been set. At the rupees 100 crore, the annual budget of this yojana bas been set by the state government.

Objective

The Indira Rasoi Yojana has been launched by the Rajasthan State Govt with the objective to provide nutritious food to the poor people at low prices. There are so many people who have to sleep hungry and there are many people who die because of starvation. So the government started this yojana, so that every person and every family in the Rajasthan State will get food in less money.

A budget of 100 crore rupees has been fixed every year under this yojana.
Now all poor people will not have to sleep hungry with the help of this yojana.

What is the Meal Time?

Under this Yojana, from the 8:30 am to 1:00 pm is the meal time and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm the dinner will be provided. 100 grams of vegetables, 100 grams of pulses, 250 grams of chapati and pickle will be provided in the plate. This is how the food will be provided to the needy people twice so that they do not remain hungry. This Indira Rasoi Yojana will be run at the places like bus stands, railway stations, hospitals. In the implementation of Indira Rasoi Yojana, the local non-governmental organizations will take help.
