There are lots of Scheme that has been initiated by the Central and state government of Indian to improve the girls condition in our country. and now to keep this thinking forward, UP State government has released Bhagya Laxmi Yojana. This scheme is being operated by the Department of Women and child development. CM of UP State Mr. Yogi Adityanath has initiated this scheme to provide financial assistance to the girl child of the state. This financial assistance will be provided from the birth of girl child till the completion of her education. The financial assistance will be provided for the education of Girl Child.
And also the financial assistance will also be provided at the time of girl child birth and at the time when she will turn 21 years of age to the family of the girl. At the time of girl child birth the amount of Rs. 5100 will be provided to the mother of girl so that she can take care of her nutritious diet and her girl child also. the financial assistance of Rs. 3000 to Rs. 8000 will be provided on taking admission in classes of 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th so that girl child can complete her education without worrying about her fees.

In order to provide Benefit to the girl child under this yojana, the Families of the applicant who are economically not that strong and who belong to the Below poverty line category and whose annual income is not more than Rs. 2 lakh. The family of the birth child need to register their daughter after her birth under this scheme within one year and only then they will be able to get the benefit of this scheme. The Advantage of this Bhagya Laxmi Yojana will be provided to two girls in a family. with the help of this financial assistance benefit girls will be able to get education.

The Chief motive of Bhagyalakshmi Yojana is to remove the gender discrimination from the country and also to encourage girl child towards education and make them independent. Benefits of UP Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana

- Under the UP Bhagya Laxmi Yojana, two girls who belong to the economically weaker BPL Families of the UP state will be provided the benefit of this scheme.

Financial Assistance Amount
- Under this Bhagyalakshmi Yojana, The one time financial assistance amount will be transferred into the bank account of the girl on her admission in the prescribed from 6th to 12th class.
- Financial assistance of the Rs. 3000 amount will be provided to the girl child on taking the admission in 6th class.
- Financial Assistance of Amount Rs. 5000 will be provided on taking admission in the 8th Class.
- Rs. 7000 will be provided on taking admission in 10th class.
- And when taking admission in 12th class Rs. 8000 will be provided as financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
All those families who are applying under the Bhagyalakshmi Yojana are required to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for this yojana: –
- The applicant must be citizen of Uttar Pradesh State.
- The family of the applicant must belong to the BPL Category to get benefit of this scheme.
- The applicant’s family income must be 2 lakh rupees or less than that.
- The family must register their daughter under this scheme within one year of her birth and also get the child vaccinated by the health department.
- In one family, only two daughters will be provided the benefit of this scheme.
- The parents of the girl child will be provided 2 lakh rupees once the daughter will complete her 21 years of age and if the girl child is not married before the completion of her 18 years of age.
- It is necessary for the girl child to have her bank account in which the amount of financial assistance will be provided.
