Objective
The Chief Motive of Shreshta Scheme is that the students of our country can evolve in the future and can have a bright future. This scheme will help the meritorious SC Students to have a better future and in controlling the dropout rate of students of 9th to 12th classes. This yojana will also authorize bright SC Students to make a finer future by obtaining high quality education and will assist in controlling the dropout rate of SC Students of 9th to 12th class.

- The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has implemented this Shreshta Scheme.
- The motive of this yojana is to target the meritorious students of SC category.
- The high-quality residential school education will be provided under this scheme to all the beneficiaries.
- The NITI Aayog has recognized prestigious non-public residential facilities in aspirational districts to implement the scheme.
- The Indian government has estimated Rs 300 crore will be needed for the Shreshta Scheme Implementation.

Eligibility Criteria for Students
- In order to take the benefit of this yojana, the applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Applicant must have cleared national entrance examination under this scheme.
- The applicant must be from SC Caste.
Eligibility Criteria for Schools
- The school must be residential school that is affiliated to the CBSE and recognized by the government.
- The school must be in operation for minimum five years under this scheme.
- The school must be up to 12th class only then that will be considered eligible.
- 75% + Students must have cleared 10th and 12th class exam in almost last five years in the history of the school.

Admit Card Details
- The candidates who are applying under this scheme must be issued a provisional admit card via the NTA website.
- It is necessary for the beneficiaries of this scheme to download this admit card under this scheme.
- All the candidates need to read and follow the guidelines provided on the admit card.
- If the applicant is not able to download the admit card from this scheme’s official website, then they must contact on the helpline number between 10 am to 5 pm. the helpline number is 011407590000.
- If in the admit card is there any discrepancy with applicant’s photo or signature or details then candidate need to contact immediately to the NTA Helpline.
- Candidates need to bring original admit card at the examination center.
- The candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in their admit card, under this scheme.
