Indira Gandhi Shahari Rojgar Guarantee Yojana

The Indira Gandhi Shahari Rojgar Guarantee Yojana has been released by the Rajasthan State government. Vis this yojana from next year, 100 days of employment will be given on the work demanded on the lines of MNREGA in urban areas. Total Rs 800 crore will be spent for the implementation of this yojana. So far this yojana was only operated in the rural areas. But now it will also be operated in the urban areas. The urban area citizens will get employment near their residence so that their families can also be empowered.

The Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to operate this Indira Gandhi Shahari Rojgar Guarantee yojana. Under this Yojana, the employment of 125 days will be provided by the Rajasthan govt. Initially it was of 100 days only but not from the 1st April 2023, it is raised for 125 days under this yojana. For the operation of this yojana, the govt will have to bear the financial burden of Rs 11100 crores. Initially it was of Rs. 800 crore. To acquire the benefit of this yojana, the registration can be done via Jan Aadhaar Card.
