The Union Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has released a new scheme called Stree Swabhiman Yojana. This scheme has been started to make women more empowered. This scheme has been initiated with the motive of heath and safety of women by the central government. Under the Stree Swabhiman Scheme, the sanitary napkins will be provided by the central government to the women and girls of the country during their menstrual cycle. Now all those women who lives in Rural districts of the country, can take the benefit of this scheme.

Objective
The Main purpose of this yojana is to provide sanitary napkins to the women of our country. Most of the women during their menstrual cycle, do not take part in sports or cultural programs and women also do the household work at this condition and because of these things they become unable to take are of themselves properly. And that is why women gets infected with various types of diseases. So, to remove these all problems the Stree Swabhiman Yojana has been started by the central government. The women will be able to get Sanitary Napkins under this scheme at Low Rates. Now, the Rural districts women will be able to save their daughters and themselves from the menstrual disease with the help of these sanitary napkins.
