Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana has been initiated by the Bihar State CM Minister Nitish Kumar to plant trees, construct ponds and wells in the Bihar State. Under this yojana, lots of plants will be planted in the Bihar State and traditional sources of water, puddles, ponds and wells will be constructed and the complete ponds and wells will be repaired by the Bihar state govt. The govt will give Rs 75500 subsidy as financial assistance to the Bihar state farmers for making ponds, ponds and irrigation of fields. In the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana, the Bihar state farmers will be able to make ponds by acquiring subsidy from the state govt, so that they will not face any issue while irrigation. Till now, one crore saplings have been planted under this yojana via MNREGA in the last two years. Under this yojana, Rs. 24 thousand 524 crore will be spent by the state govt till the 2022.

Objective

In India most of the people are still dependent on agricultural work for their living. But people are harming the natural sources for their own progress. because of this lots of fields get damaged. so to improvement and proper use of the sources, the Bihar State Govt has initiated this Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana. With the help of this yojana, the govt will give subsidy of Seventy Five Thousand Five Hundred to the farmers for making ponds, ponds and irrigation of fields.

Main Points

Only the Bihar State farmers will be provided the benefit of this yojana.
The govt will give Rs. 75500 subsidy as financial assistance to the Bihar State farmers for making ponds, ponds and irrigation of fields.

Eligibility Criteria

Only the Permanent Resident of Bihar State can apply under this yojana.
The farmers will be provided the subsidy for the irrigation of only one acre of land.
Farmers are divided into two categories and those are individual and collective category.
In the individual category, those people comes who have cultivable land up to one acre and want to irrigate one acre of land.
And in the collective category, those people comes who want to take more than five hectares together, they will get full subsidy of the cost.
