The Assam State Government has announced the new scheme named Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan Scheme. Under this yojana, the financial assistance will be given to the Assam State citizens by the state government for the planting saplings and maintaining them. So, that the State citizens can plant more and more plants.
Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan Yojana
The Amrit Brikshya Andolan Yojana has been started by the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to make the Assam State green and given financial assistance to the citizens. With the help of this yojana, the State citizens will be encouraged to plant trees. This yojana will be run in the whole state. The State citizens will be provided an amount of Rs. 100 per plant at the time of planting and after that the Assam State government will also pay 200 rupees per plant to the Beneficiaries if the plants survive for three years.
Under the Amrit Brikshya Andolan Scheme on the 17th Sep, about one crore saplings will be planted in the Assam state in just two hours. In order to acquire the benefit of this yojana, the citizens need to make their registration through online mode on the wave portal.

Objective
The Assam State Government has Started this Amrit Brikshya Andolan Yojana to prevent indiscriminate cutting of trees and give financial assistance to the Assam State Citizens, so that the citizens are encouraged to plant saplings and the citizens acquire positive results by taking benefit of the yojana.
Eligibility Criteria
- Under this yojana, Only the Assam State Citizens will be able to apply.
- The Assam State Citizens will be eligible to acquire the benefit of this yojana.
- The applicant need to upload the Geo-tagging photographs to acquire the financial benefits.
- The bank account of the application must be linked with the Aadhar Card.
- The benefit of this yojana will be acquired only by the listed beneficiaries.
