The Vahli Dikri Yojana has been started by the Gujarat state government to provide Financial Assistance to the girls of the state so that they will be able to get education and become independent. The state govt has provided the budget of 133 crore rupees for this yojana.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development department of the government of Gujarat has released this Vahli Dikri Yojana. Under this scheme, the Girls of the state will be provided the financial assistance for their education. The motive of this scheme is to improve the future of girl child and also this scheme will be helpful in improving the status of girls in the society as well as their birth rate. The girls will become financially and economically strong with the help of this scheme.
The state govt will give Rs. 1 lakh to the first two daughters in a family for their education or marriage. The one lakh rupee amount will be provided to the girl child when she will attain the age of 18 years. Currently, the Girls ration is 883 girls per 1000 boys so the girls ration in the country will also improve with this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to improve the girls birth rate in the State the Gujarat state government have launched this Yojana. This yojana will help in improving the Girls status in the society. All the interested people who are eligible to apply for this scheme can apply: –
- Application must be permanent resident of Gujarat state.
- The yearly income of the family of the girl must be less than 2 lakh rupees.
- In one family only first two girls will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
- The girl child must have their own bank account and that must be linked with their Aadhaar Card.
- Applicants belong to any category can apply under this scheme.
