Samarth Scheme Online Registration

The Samarth Scheme has been introduced by the Ministry of Textile for the Capacity building in the textile sectors. To make the unskilled labour a skilled labour, government has started this scheme so that the labour people can work in various Sectors. The sectors such as knitting, Garment and processing, Carpet, Jute, Handloom, silk etc.

There will be three years of training from 2017 to 2020 which will be provided to around 10 lakh people under this Samarth scheme.

Objectives

  • The chief motive of Samarth Scheme is to offer job oriented national skills qualifications framework specific upskilling programs to the total 10 lakh people, one lakh in the unorganized sector and nine lakhs in the organized sector.
  • With the help of this scheme, the government is trying to create job opportunities in the textile and its related sectors.
  • The Samarth Scheme also helps in Upgrading the handlooms and jute types of traditional sectors.
  • It provides wages and Self-employment opportunities and also ensures the sustainable livelihood.

Benefits

  • The workers under this scheme will be provided the textile industry related skill development training.
  • This will be a great chance for the women workers to get skills which will be helpful for them in the work field. and they will become financial independent.

Features

  • There is total 18 states where the Samarth scheme is in operation.
  • With the minimum 80% of assessment, the Samarth scheme follows the Aadhar enabled biometric attendance system.
  • The trainees under this scheme will be provided the training from the people having training of trainer’s certification by SSCs/ RSA.
  • The Samarth Scheme has been started with 50% of wage employment in the traditional sector and 70% in the organized sector.
  • The Samarth Scheme have a total budget of Rs. 1,300 crores.
  • The CCTV recording of the Training programme is also included in this scheme so that if any problem happened in the training session can be solved easily.

Eligibility

  • To do the registration under this scheme, an applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The women, BPL category People, SC or ST, differently-abled people, minorities and 115 aspirational districts advised by the NITI Aayog.
