Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana
The Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana has bene initiated by the MP State government for the MP State citizens above 60 years of age. Under this yojana, free pilgrimage will be made available by the govt at any one of the pilgrimage sites available in the country. Along with this, various types of facilities such as Arrangements for stay, Food and drink etc will also be made available to the citizens going on pilgrimage.
Under this yojana, all those citizens who are above 60 years of age or have more than 60% disability can also take an assistant with them to take care of them.

Objective
There are many people in our country who are not able to go on Pilgrimage because of their weak economic condition. In this condition, their desire to visit on pilgrimage remains unfulfilled. Keeping this in mind, the MP Govt has initiated the MP Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana. The Purpose of this scheme is to give a chance to the senior citizens of MP to visit on free pilgrimage. Beneficiaries under this yojana can visit on free pilgrimage to any one of the pilgrimage sites available in the country. He can also take an assistant with him to visit on pilgrimage.
Eligibility for Application
- Passenger Eligibility: – It is necessary for the passenger to be a permanent resident of the Madhya Pradesh State.
- The age of the person must be 60 years or above.
- For female applicant there is a relaxation of two years for her age.
- Under this yojana, Group can also apply.
- In a group, there can be only 25 persons.
- If both wife and husband want to visit on pilgrimage, then it is necessary for one of them to be eligible. Even if one of the husband and wife is eligible and the other is not, then both can visit on pilgrimage.
- If the citizen is more than 60% disabled then there is no age limit.
- All the passengers must be physically as well as mentally fit. He must not be suffering from any of the mentioned diseases.
- TB, Cardiac, Congestive, Coronary Insufficiency, Obstructive Respiratory Disease, Coronary Thrombosis, Infection, Mental illness, Leprosy Etc.
Eligibility for Assistant
- If the passenger age is above 65 years and he is single or the age of the spouse of the passenger is 65 years above or it the passenger is more than 60% disabled, then it is necessary to have an assistant with him.
- One helper can go in a group of 3 to 5 persons traveling in a group.

- In 2012, the MP Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana has been initiated.
- Under this yojana, the senior citizens are being provided the opportunity to visit on free pilgrimage to the pilgrimage places available in the country.
- Citizens above 60 years will also be eligible to acquire the benefit of this yojana.
- Beneficiaries can do pilgrimage via this yojana at any one of the pilgrimage sites available in the country.
- Various types of facilities such as arrangements for stay, Food and Drink etc will also be provided to the citizens of the State during the yatra.
- Under this yojana, all those citizens who are above 60 years old or have more than 60% disability can also take an assistant with them for care.
- This Scheme will be implemented by the Madhya Pradesh Government, Religious Trust and Endowment Department and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.

- Applicant can not carry any type of inflammable substance or intoxicant on the journey.

Important Guidelines
- The applicant have to fill the form in Hindi.
- Applicant have to attach the colored passport size photograph in the application form.

- Applicant ca not carry Intoxicants, Inflammable Substances during their journey.
- They can not carry valuable jewellery and gems etc along with themselves in the journey.
- It is required to follow the liaison officer during the journey.
- It is required for the passengers to carry the identity card with them.
