MP Balram Talab Yojana Registration
The MP Balram Talab Yojana has been initiated by the MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Ji for the farmers of the MP State who face lack of water related problems during the irrigation of his farm. The farmers are provided the grants for construction of ponds and canals in their fields under this yojana. The agriculture Department has implemented this yojana. Under this Yojana, the department sets a target to benefit more and more farmers at the block and district level. Under this Yojana, the farmers who belongs to the low economic category will be provided the 75% subsidy for the construction of Canal / pond.
This is up to a maximum of one lakh rupees. If on the construction of canal/pond more than One lakh rupees is spent then the farmer himself have to borne that expenditure. Via this Yojana, up to 40% grant is given to the farmers of general category for the canal/pond construction, which is up to a maximum of 80,000 rupees. The farmers himself have to borne the additional expenditure amount.

The Main Purpose of this Yojana is to solve the water related issues that the farmers often face at the time of irrigation because of the less rainfall or drought. For the constructing ponds in their fields the farmers of the Madhya Pradesh State are provided the grants via the MP Balram Talab Yojana. In these constructed ponds, the rain water can be collected. Farmers can use this collected water to irrigate their fields if they needed at the time of less rainfall or drought.

Eligibility Criteria
- In the Financial Year 2017-18 and after that, under the ongoing yojana in the Madhya Pradesh state, only the farmers who have installed the drip or sprinkler sets in their fields can construct ponds in their fields and presently this field must be in running condition. The land Verification will be done by the Conservation Survey Officer.
- The farmer must have his own cultivable land to acquire the grant for making the pond. The grant is not provided under this yojana for making ponds on agricultural land taken on lease.
- It is necessary for the farmers to be a permanent resident of the Madhya Pradesh State.
- All category farmers can apply under the MP Balram Talab Yojana.
