The govt of Maharashtra has made a call center for this scheme. And with the help of this the Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana will be built to work properly and give better health services. In this Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, under which the amount of the assistance of kidney transplantation which was 2.5 lakhs previously, but now it has been raised to three lakh rupees and aside from this the 1.5 lakh rupees is the treatment cost for each family. Which has been raised to two lakh rupees, and in this 971 diseases were operated, but now on this 1034 types of operations will be done.

Initially, the Heart Disease, Plastic Surgery, Cancer, Cataract like operations were done but now there many new operations that are included such as Dengue, Pediatric Surgery, Knee Hip Replacement, Swine Flu, Sickle Cell Anemia.

Free Treatment

At the time of Presentation of the 2023-24 budget by the Maharashtra State Government, the reach of giving free treatment facilities to the economically poor citizens of the Maharashtra state in government hospitals has been expanded under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Scheme. Under Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, so far, citizens were given free of charge treatment, therapy, surgery etc. Facility of only Rs. 1.5 lakh. But now this limit has been expanded by the Government to five lakh rupees. Now the poor people will be able to acquire without charge treatment up to five lakh rupees in a Financial Year via this yojana.

Two Hundred new hospitals will be added under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Scheme. Aside from this, the government has enlarged the kidney transplant surgery cost from 2.50 lakh rupees to four lakh rupees. And the New government medical colleges will be set up by the government in fourteen districts of the state.

Objective

The objective of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana is for poor people of the Maharashtra State who are economically poor. The Maharashtra state government have taken the responsibility of the treatment of these people, and there are 14 districts have been added under this. and the farmers who are victims of any natural calamity and their financial condition is not strong , for these type of people the services of expensive health has been provided under this scheme. Such as Surgery Transplantation therapy.

Eligibility Criteria

The yearly income of economically poor families must be less then Rs 1 lakh.
The poor families who lives in 36 districts of Maharashtra who have orange or yellow ration card and their children are not more than two are eligible to apply under this scheme.
Farmers suffering from natural calamity can apply, the Fourteen districts of Maharashtra have been added in it.
Only those applicant who families are citizen of Maharashtra state can apply under this scheme.

The eligible people who lives in city can visit to the nearest sadar hospital and can make their examination successfully.
People who lives in village can visit to the government health camp and get their illness checked.
Then, applicant need to visit to the specialist doctor of his disease and get a checkup done.
Once the disease is confirmed then the Arogya Mitra will register the details regarding disease as well as its expenses.
The expenses of travel, illness, doctor, hospital, will be provided online on the portal of this scheme.
Within 24 hours, this process will be completed.
Then the patient treatment will start and he will not have to pay their treatment expenses or any other expenses related to the disease at the time of treatment.
