Janani Suraksha Yojana Online Registration

Janani Suraksha Yojana was firstly launched in 2005 year by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. This Yojana was started for the pregnant women or the women who are new mothers. This Scheme was started as a great initiative of NRHM. The Central Government is sponsor of this scheme and it is been implemented across India including all UTs and States.

JSY scheme is initiated by the Indian government with the aim to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality by making institutional delivery services inexpensive and reachable to poor pregnant women in India. Under this scheme the pregnant women or new mothers will be provided a financial assistance under supervision from Ministry of health and family. The Accredited social health activist called ASHA works with the Janani Suraksha yojana and it works as a medium between the pregnant women in ten low performing states and the government.

The main objective of JSY – Janani Suraksha Yojana is to decrease maternal and neonatal mortality by encouraging medical institutional delivery among poor pregnant women.

Janani Suraksha Yojana Eligibility Criteria

  • Only the women who are above the age of 19 years and are pregnant will be able to register under this scheme.

  • The there will be laparoscopic or tubectomy surgery then the beneficiary will be provided a compensation according to the Family welfare scheme.
  • The Auxiliary nurse midwife or health workers will be provided the Rs 5000 amount under Janani Suraksha Yojana Scheme.

Under this scheme the states are classified into two categories Low Performing states and High Performing states. The states which have 25% or less then that delivery rate is considered as low performing states and the states which have more than 25% delivery rate are high performing states. The low performing states are Assam and Jammu & Kashmir.  

And the high performing states are Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand.

  • Once you open the website, on the home screen you will see an option apply online.
  • You just have to click on that option.
  • After this the apply form will open on your device’s screen.
  • Enter all the details in this form such as the full name of pregnant woman, her age, house address and other important details also.
  • After this upload the required documents along with your registration form of Janani Suraksha Yojana.
  • Once you are done with all the above-mentioned steps then click on the submit option.
  • Then you will receive a code. You have to save this code for the future needs.

Offline Applying Procedure for Janani Suraksha Yojana

If you cannot apply through online mode for this scheme then you still have the offline mode to apply for Janani Suraksha yojana and take the benefit of it: –
