Janani Suraksha Yojana Online Registration

Janani Suraksha Yojana was firstly launched in 2005 year by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. This Yojana was started for the pregnant women or the women who are new mothers. The main objective of JSY – Janani Suraksha Yojana is to decrease maternal and neonatal mortality by encouraging medical institutional delivery among poor pregnant women.

Under this scheme the states are classified into two categories Low Performing states and High Performing states. The states which have 25% or less then that delivery rate is considered as low performing states and the states which have more than 25% delivery rate are high performing states. The low performing states are Assam and Jammu & Kashmir.  

And the high performing states are Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand.
