The Haryana Education department has released the Chirag Yojana in the new education session, abolishing Rule-134A. Under this the economically weaker and low income students will be given the opportunity to pursue education in private schools of the Haryana State will be done. Under this yojana, the financial assistance will be given to the govt schools students of the Haryana State. To acquire education from 2nd to 12th class in private schools.
The students of the Haryana State will be provided the advantage whose annual family income is less then one lakh eighty thousand rupees. Under this yojana, in the initial phase, the state govt has set a target of giving free education to about 25,000 students of the Haryana State in the private schools. For which the fee for taking education in private schools will be given by the State govt of Haryana.

Objective
The Haryana State Government has Launched the Chirag Yojana. With the purpose to provide opportunities to the weak students from the economic background of the Haryana State to take admission in the private schools to acquire quality education. Under this yojana, for free transfer of students studying in govt schools there is a provision from 2nd to 12th class private schools in the Haryana State. Even prior to this, the state govt has given a golden opportunity to the poor students of the Haryana state to acquire education in private schools via Rule-134A. But in 2023 academic year, rejecting this rule, the Haryana Chirag Yojana 2023 has been implemented. Under this, the education fee of private schools for the beneficiary students education will be borne by the Haryana State Govt.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant student must be a Haryana State Permanent Resident.
- The students who are academically excellent and in each section have passed consistently will be provided the benefit.
- The family annual income of the applicant student must not be more than one lakh eighty thousand rupees.
- Applicant student can acquire admission in only such private schools of the state where education is given from 2nd to 12th class.

- On the homepage, Click on the Haryana Chirag Yojana Online Form option.
- Then in the PDF Format the application form will open.
- Download the application form in the PDF format and take its print out.
- Enter the asked details in the form.
- Attach the necessary documents.
- Submit the form along with the required documents to the nearest BEO Office.
- Then your application will be verified by the concerned department.
- Then, students will be selected by the department via lucky draw.
- On the 11th, 2023 the result of lucky draw will be announced.
