The social welfare department of Bihar Government operates this Bihar Kishori Balika Yojana. This scheme has been started for the girls of the Bihar State only. The Bihar Kishori Balika Yojana has been initiated for the girls of the state Through the directorate of integrated child development services under the mission Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0. by the Bihar Kishori Balika Yojana, the girls will get the benefits of non-nutritional items and nutritional items. This benefit will be provided to the girls of the age group of 14 to 18 years of Bihar State to improve their nutrition level and health.

And apart from this, with the Bihar Kishori Balika Yojana the girls will be provided the nutritional food in the form of “Take Home Ration” for 25 days in one month. Only in the 13 districts, this scheme has been initiated by the Bihar State government. The Anganwadi center will accept the applications to get the benefits of Bihar Kishori Balika Scheme. The last date of the application has been issued by the Bihar State Government on 15^th Feb 2023.

Objective of Kishori Balika Yojana

The chief motive of this Bihar Balika Kishori Scheme is to meet the physical needs of the girls of the state in teens so that their physical growth can be done appropriately. And for total 25 days in one month the girls will be provided the nutrition by the government. The government will provide supplementary nutritional food and non-nutritional services benefits to the girls. So, in order the get the benefit of this scheme, it is mandatory for the adolescent girls to register on the nutrition tracker application through the Anganwadi center. they will do the Aadhaar verification of the registered adolescent girls by the date 15^th Feb 2023. The girls will be provided the benefit of non—nutritional services and supplementary nutritional food, only after her Aadhaar verification.
