Objective

There are so many children in the Maharashtra State who cannot acquire the higher education because of their weak economic condition. So Maharashtra State govt has initiated this Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana. Under this yojana, the financial assistance of Rs. 51,000 will be given annually by the govt, to the 11^th, 12^th, Profession Course, Diploma for Poor ST, SC, Neo Buddhist Category students who are from the poor families. Now all those children who wants to acquire higher education can get the benefit of this yojana.

Eligibility Criteria

Only the Permanent Resident of Maharashtra State can apply under this yojana.
ST, SC, Neo Buddhist Category (NP) Students are eligible to apply under this yojana.
Only for the 10^th 12^th, professional courses and diploma the financial assistance will be provided in this scheme.
Annual income of the applicant family must not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Student must have 60% in their examinations to acquire the benefit of this scheme. 40% marks is the minimum eligible criteria for the physically challenged candidates to acquire the benefit of this yojana.

Main Details

Via this yojana, work will be done to benefit NP and SC Students taking admission in 11^th 12^th and Peshawar courses.
For all the courses whose duration is less than two years, benefit of this yojana will not be provided.
Students must have their own bank account and that must be linked with their Aadhaar Card.
60% marks in their previous classes is necessary to acquire the benefit of this yojana.
Divyang, Disabled, Physically challenged applicants must have cleared previous class with 40% marks.

Benefits

Those students who leave their studies midway because of poverty, they will be able to continue their studies.
Annual Financial Assistance of Rs. 52,000 will be given to the students under this yojana.
For the Physically Challenged Students, The provision of Separate Facilities has been made.
The advantage of this yojana will be provided to the SC, Nav Buddha category students.
