CSSS Scholarship Apply Online

The CSSS Scholarship Yojana has been released by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Under this yojana, all the interested applicants can apply. The govt will give financial incentives to the meritorious students via this yojana who belong to the economically weaker section of the society so that they can acquire the higher education. This yojana was introduced by the department of higher education at the time of 11^th five-year plan.

Via this yojana, every year 82000 scholarships are offered for which 50% of seats are reserved for boys and 50% for girls. Government spends Rs. 1000 crore every year for the implementation of this yojana. Via this yojana the scholarship will be provided for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Objective

The Purpose of this yojana is to provide financial assistance to the students who wants to get higher education. This benefit of this yojana will be given to all those students who are from the economically weaker section of the society. Because of this scholarship yojana, the students will be able to finance their day to day expenses. Students will become self dependent also. This yojana will upgrade the living standards of the students. The country literacy rate will also raise which will eventually help in reducing the unemployment in the country. Via this yojana, all the meritorious students will be able to get higher education despite their financial conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant age must be 10 to 25 years old.
Applicant must be cleared 12^th class or equivalent.
The applicant must be in top twenty percentile of successful candidates in relevant stream in 12^th class.
Student must be getting higher education on regular mode.
The institution must be recognized by all India Council of technical education, dental council of India, Medical Council of India, respective regulatory authorities.
Candidate’s income must be less than eight lakh rupees per annum.

Benefits and Features

The CSSS Scholarship Scheme has been launched by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Via this Yojana, the financial incentives are given to the meritorious students for their higher education.
All those students who are from the economically weaker section of the society will get the benefit of this yojana.
Under this yojana, only the interested applicants are invited to apply.
The department of higher education during the 11^th five year plan, this yojana was introduced.
Every year via this yojana 82000 scholarships are offered.
Out of 82,000 scholarship 41,000 scholarships are given to the girls and to the boys, 41,000 scholarships will be provided.

Selection Process

On the basis of Gender, the merit list will be drawn and on the merit list, the selection criteria will be based.
There will be 3% reservation under this scholarship yojana that will be provided to the person with disability from each state’s educational board.
Under this yojana the individual board’s quota is also real earmarked. On the basis of this quota, the selection of the candidate will also be made.

Renewal

Students can get the advantage of the scholarship yojana for a maximum period of five years which adds both graduation and post graduation level.
It is necessary for the students to acquire graduation or post graduation in the same stream.
To renew scholarship the student is necessary to maintain minimum 75% attendance.
Person must not be involved in any ragging activities.
Student must have get minimum 55% marks or more than that in their previous examination.
