The Andhra Pradesh State Government has launched the Kalyanamasthu Yojana in 2023. The welfare has been extended by the YS Jagan Administration to all areas of society and increased financial help. The AP administration has launched this program and it has gone into effect from the 1st Oct 2022. This financial assistance will be provided to the interracial marriage girl and boy. The Christians, Parsis, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhism and other minorities will be provided the benefit of this yojana. The State govt will provide the financial assistance to the members of STs, SCs, BCs, differently abled and non-Muslim minority groups through the YSR Kalyanamasthu program. The muslims will get the Financial Assistance through YSR Shaadi Tohfa Program. This is in control of YSR Congress Party.

For the YSR Shaadi Tohfa and YSR Kalyanamasthu Programs, the Allocation of Rs. 87 crore has been announced by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the Andhra Pradesh State Chief Minister, and this will assist 12,132 eligible females who get married in the January – March 2023 quarter. The daughter of poor households in the state for marriage will be provided the held of this YSR Kalyanamasthu Scheme. In order to acquire the benefit of this yojana the girl and boy must be cleared 10th standard. And girl must be 18 years of age and boy must be 21 years old only then they will get the benefit. The goal of this yojana is to modify the attitude of the parents of the children so that they will educate their children. 10th Class pass is necessary to get the benefit of this yojana.

Objective

The purpose of this yojana is to assist minorities and to fulfilling the promises made to them in the manifesto. The yojana promotes inter-caste weddings. In India still there are many communities and families who do not support and favor the intercaste marriages and that is why their children don’t have any kind of support so government started this yojana to help them.

YSR Kalyanamasthu Eligibility

  • SC/ST/BC/Minorities (other than muslims) and handicapped are eligible for this yojana.
  • The age of the girl and boy must be 18 for girl and 21 years for boys who intend to marry each other.
  • SSC must be the minimum educational qualification. and they must have the matriculation pass certification to acquire the benefit of this yojana.
  • Total land holdings are not more than three acres in wet lands and 10 acres in dry land.
  • Total earnings int eh families must not exceed 10,000 rupees per month in the rural areas and in the urban areas it must not exceed 12,000 rupees.
  • The electrical Construction must be not more than 300 units per month on an average basis. The parents of the beneficiaries must not be a government employees.
  • There must not be anyone in the family of the benefit who is getting the pension.
  • Applicants must not have any type of four-wheeled automobile.
  • If the beneficiary is the payees of income tax then they will not get the benefit of this yojana.
  • If a person wants to get the benefit of this yojana, then they must have their first marriage for the first time.
  • widows can also apply under this yojana.
  • Applicants must not have a built up area that is more than 1000 square feet in the municipal areas.

Benefits

  • The ST and SC Beneficiaries will be given the financial assistance of 1.2 lakh if they have an intercaste marriage.
  • The government will provide one lakh rupees to the ST and SC beneficiaries.
  • The Rs. 75,000 will be provided to the BC Beneficiaries who marry inter-caste.
  • The Rs. 50,000 will be provided to the BCs
  • One lakh fifty thousand Rupees will be provided to the Crippled Beneficiaries.
  • Two construction workers for marriage will get Rs. 40,000 under this yojana.
  • Handicapped and disabled people will get 1.5 lakh rupees.
