Odisha Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan
In Odisha state government has launched the Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan to provide employment opportunities to the urban poor. The state government has launched an urban wage employment initiative to generate employment at the time of covid 19 lockdown. This initiative has been converted by the government into a full fledged yojana called mukta Yojana. There will be many projects that will be provided to the urban local bodies under this yojana so that they can earn their livelihood. The activities such as stormwater drainage, green cover, rainwater harvesting, creation of community centers, increased sanitation etc will be taken up under this yojana. The Odisha State govt will fund this yojana from its own budget. Odisha Chief Minister Authorized Rs. 183.81 Crore for 42 Urban Local Bodies.
According the state flagship program MUKTA for the 2023-24 financial year, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik permitted Rs. 183.81 crore for two urban local bodies separated over ten districts of the southern revenue Division on Monday. Ganjam, Gajapati, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Boudh are among the districts. The Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan Yojana’s chief purpose is to lower unemployment. The programme, which Patnaik launched in 2020, offers migrant workers and the urban poor employment options. The forty two ULBs have created ward-level workable annual action plans under MUKTA, as per the CMO, via participatory process engaging residents of neighbourhood and other shareholder.

Objective
The purpose of Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan is to give employment to the Urban Poor. Under this yojana, the in progress temporary wage employment drive will turn into a full fledged yojana in order to give job. Via this Abhiyan, the livelihood susceptibility of the urban poor will decrease adding migrant laborers and informal workers. Via this Abhiyan the economic empowerment of urban informal workers will take place. This yojana’s participation and empowerment of women, self-help groups, and slum development associations will be raised. Under this Abhiyan, the amount of the wager will be directly credited into the beneficiary bank account through the direct benefit transfer mode.

Benefits and Features
