Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana has been initiated by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the 12^th Nov 2020 to provide employment to the citizens of our country. Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana

Under the Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, the govt will provide employment to the eligible citizens of the country in organized sectors. All the registered citizens in new institutions by the Aatmnirbhar India Rozgar Yojana and their one year income is less than Rs. 15,000 and have never been registered in the employees provident fund organization. The institutions will also be encouraged via this yojana.

The Aatmnirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana was started to encourage companies to make appointments. Under this yojana, both the appointed person and the employee will be contributed to the EPF by the govt for the new recruitments made by the companies and other units for two years. Under this yojana, an amount of Rs. 1585 crore has been approved by the Union Cabinet for the current financial year. Also an amount of Rs. 22,810 crore has been approved for the entire period of the yojana, which is 58.5 lakh from 2020 to 2023. Form the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, the employees will be benefited.

Eligibility Criteria

Must not be registered with Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e EPFO and monthly income must be less than 15,000.
Those people whose jobs went into lockdown between 1^st march to 30^th sep 2020 and who got re-employed in Oct can also acquire the advantage of this yojana event if all of them are not registered with EPFO.

Benefits

The advantage of Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana will be provided by the central government in the next two years.
Jobless citizens of our country will be able to acquire employment, which will make it easier for the citizens to take care of their families.
All those citizens who work in those institutions which have minimum one thousand employees, they will be provided 24% advantage of this yojana as financial assistance by the employees’ provident fund organization on behalf of the central government associated with and employing more than one thousand employees.
So, in this condition only the 12% will be provided towards the central govt.

Features

Via this yojana, all those people who have lost their jobs because of the corona epidemic will be provided financial assistance.

Update

Via this yojana, a budget of 1584 crore Rupees has been made by the Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar on 9^th December for the current financial year. The govt will give financial assistance to employers and employees for two years in service fund for new hire by businesses and institutions. Under this yojana, one outlet worth 22,810 crores will be entered by 2023 and about 58.5 lakh employees will be benefited via this yojana.

Main Points

EPFO Registered employers who add new employees as compared to the reference base of employees as of sep 2020 will be covered under this yojana.
If the required number of new employees are recruited from October 1^st 2020 to 3^rd June 2021, the establishments will be covered for the next two years.
Employees joining employment with minimum monthly salary of less than Rs. 15,000 will be covered in the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana.
Any EPF citizen having universal account number having monthly salary less than 15,000 or who has been laid off from employment because of the coronavirus disease from 1^st march to 30^th September and has not joined employment in any EPS covered establishment till 30^th sep all those citizens will be eligible for the benefits.
Via this yojana, the central govt will provide subsidy in the form of EPF financial assistance for two years in respect of new eligible employees. For the establishments employing 1000 employees, the employer’s contribution and the employee’s contribution will be 24% of the total wages, which will be paid by the govt. Establishments employing more than thousand employees only the PD Contribution of the employees will be given by the central govt.
