National Zoological park which is in Delhi is very popular hangout spot for the people especially families. The small kids really enjoy a lot watching animals. Delhi zoo is one of the favorite place of the people who live there. It is spread in the 176 acres and it is near the Old fort.
There are around 1350 animals and over 130 species of birds in this park. This zoo has been constructed in three years and was ready in the end of 1959. This park was inaugurated by the Punjab Rao Deshmukh who is the Hon’ble Minister of the Indian Government on the Nov 1st 1959. Initially the name of this zoo was Delhi Zoo but in 1982 it was named as National Zoological Park.

Guidelines to Follow
- Person can not take food with themselves inside the Zoological park except porridge and milk for the small babies. The cafes are built inside the premises so if you wants to eat anything you can buy it from there.
- Person must not hurt or tease the animals. If you will do this they will be punished.
- Person need to ask the permission for filming of various levels within the zoo premises.
